Zechariah 13

Zechariah 13:1-9

Vision:  The fountain for Israel.

Summary: A fountain, Christ’s blood, will be opened for the Jews.  He says He will also remove prophets, as well.  There will be no prophets in that day, according to the passage.  Two thirds will perish, but one third will survive.

Explanation:  Most probably, a future, coming state for Israel.  Acts 1:6 does not indicate that the kingdom is yet restored to the nation of Israel.  They are not yet born again of the living seed, the Word of Christ, but are damned.  God has not restored Israel as a nation, but has promised to.  The fountain of Christ will be opened to the house of Israel (Acts 1:6, the Kingdom to the Nation) in that day, and at that time, there will also be great suffering, as indicated, as the spirit of impurity and prophecy are removed.
