Weak Points

We are committed to integrity.

John 3:21 says that those who do truth come into the light that it may be plainly see that what they have done has been done through God.

Below is a list of what I consider the weak points in my argument, or, in some cases, a couple gaping holes.  We have no fear in exposing our weak-points.  They are there in every case I have seen.  We also believe that in due time and with proper diligence, this list will erode and become less and less.

If nothing else, this creates a starting point for future study.

  • Revelation 11 – The Identity of the Two Witnesses.
  • Matthew 24:15 – “The Abomination of Desolation”.  Many equate this with the armies of Gallus Cestius in 66 AD.  There is a possibility, since the Luke 21 passage uses that image instead, but this still seems weak.  Additionally, it could have been the rebels using the temple as their headquarters, and even setting themselves up in the temple of God like that.  But, further substantiating claims are desired.
  • Revelation 18:21-23 – The final destruction of Babylon lists it as uninhabited.  With my interpretation, we have two options.  Either this destruction switches context and switches back to the actual city of Babylon, which is actually a plausible scenario, or either by failure or delay, the city of Rome has not yet been fully destroyed.  Either of these, in the larger scheme is possible, but either context switch, either geographically or chronologically, is not necessarily and immediate, logical leap.
